Reading’s first season in the Premiership is no doubt going to be a difficult one. Lack of transfer activity has meant that their team line-up is likely to be very similar to their Championship-winning team last season.
Whether Steve Coppell has a couple of players in his sights remains to be seen, but Reading’s options up front, as well as the mercurial Steve Sidwell in the midfield, should see them as able battlers in the fight against relegation.
