Talk is surrounding City boss Stuart Pearce regarding the possible exits of both captain Sylvain Distin, and ‘keeper David James. If these two big players leave Eastfields, then City may be looking at an uphill struggle this season, unless they can find replacements rapidly.
However, with the signings of strikers Bernardo Corradi and Paul Dickov, and midfielders Dietmar Hamann and Ousmane Dabo, Pearce has strengthened his options, and should be looking at a top ten finish this season.
