3 Teams for the price of just 1!

With the February manager of the month deadline coming up - 12.30pm on Saturday 3rd Feb - we've cut the price to enter new teams.

It's now 3 teams for the price of 1 - just £5 for 3 teams without transfers.

Transfers remain at half price - £1.50 for 12.

There's no excuse to not get involved. In less than 30 days you could be celebrating a £10,000 win!

February fixtures preview.....

All teams are scheduled to play 3 times in Feb except Watford and Wigan who will play 4 times. Although with Wigan struggling for any sort of form at the moment the extra fixture might just be a recipe for conceding more goals.

The Watford fixtures are more interesting to study in that the Hornets have had 2 recent victories against West Ham (FA Cup) and Blackburn. 3 of Watford's game in Feb are at home - Bolton, Wigan and Everton and they have to travel to West Ham who are desperately low on confidence. We reckon 2 clean sheets are not out of the question for Aidy Boothroyd's men - particuarly if they come away from Old Trafford tonight without being thumped.

The following teams play 2 of their 3 games at home in Feb: Liverpool, Tottenham, Blackburn, Midlesbrough, Manchester City, Aston Villa, Fulham and Charlton.

In the search for clean sheets no one teams fixtures really jump out. It would be no surprise if the top 4 don't concede many goals and of the others Blackburn playing Sheff Utd and Portsmouth at home and Everton away is tempting along with Bolton who have Fulham at home and Watford and Spurs away.

We'll update the blog tomorrow with the form players from January.

Cheers,
Tom

YTM Predictions Week 23

Well I'm back to make a few predictions on the weekend's games. Interesting that Villa are taking on Watford... Ashley Young playing his last game for Watford against his new club perhaps. I love the transfer windows, football becomes so much more exciting for a small period of time! Think Fulham have done the best so far, which I am very pleased with... Montella for Golden Boot!

Here are the predictions:

Saturday

Aston Villa vs Watford
Watford will be looking for a steady performance against a lagging Villa side. Martin O'Neill must realise that he needs new faces in the team to make an assault on European places, and Ashley Young could show them just what they are missing. Villa should win, but it will be a tough contest.
YTM Prediction: Home Win

Fulham vs Tottenham
Read on a forum this morning that a Spurs fan was congratulating Fulham on signing Montella, then realising that they were playing on Saturday! Montella already looks like providing the goals that Fulham need to counter their all-too-leaky defence. Spurs' dreadful away form and Montella should provide a Fulham win.
YTM Prediction: Home Win

Liverpool vs Chelsea
Big game! Liverpool will look to hammer the centre of Chelsea's defence, as without JT it looks very questionable. On the other hand, Chelsea have the potential to score at any time, so I reckon this will be a thrilling draw.
YTM Prediction: Score Draw

Man City vs Blackburn

City are looking fairly solid at the moment. I wouldn't say that Pearce has 'turned them around', but they are getting there. Blackburn have the 'Sword of Neill' over their heads, and Mark Hughes will be hoping that the business with Lucas Neill's transfer doesn't get in the way of the football. A point will probably suit both at the moment.
YTM Prediction: Score Draw

Boro vs Bolton
I think this will be the dull game of the week, definitely last on Match of the Day! Bolton are very annoying away from home, and Boro are either great or very bad. I think we will see great Boro this weekend, but they will only win by one rubbish goal...
YTM Prediction: Home Win

Newcastle vs West Ham

Newcastle annoy the heck out of me. They play really well and get three points at White Hart Lane, and then they bend over for Birmingham at St James!! Hopefully that will have been the kicking that they needed, and they will turn over West Ham, and put Curbs under more pressure get a team that will win games.
YTM Prediction: Home Win

Portsmouth vs Charlton

There's not much to say about this game... Pompey are playing quite well, Charlton are worse than Leeds at the moment... Home win.
YTM Prediction: Home Win

Reading vs Sheff Utd

A bit early to be dubbed a 'Six-Pointer', but a very important game for both teams to win. Reading should have the edge, but I have a feeling that the partnership of Hulse and Stead will work, and United will scrape a draw.
YTM Prediction: Score Draw

Sunday

Arsenal vs Man Utd
Big Game!! The Gunners will be up for this game, as they would love to do the double over their bitter rivals. Man United on the other hand will be up for this for more practical reasons... staying clear at the top of the league. I think the Red Devils will take all three points... Don't ask me why, I just do!
YTM Prediction: Away Win

Wigan vs Everton

Quick everyone!! Its Wigan vs Everton!!! I've tried to excite you about this game, but I can't perform miracles. Has anyone else noticed that for all the bad press Andy Johnson gets for his diving, you totally think that it's all true?!?! AJ really does throw himself about a lot, yet he seems to get away with it because he is English. Anyway, rant over, bore draw.
YTM Prediction: Goalless Draw

That's your lot for this weekend. Have a good one.

Cheers,

Dave @ YTM HQ

Team of the Week 20

It was a good week for the Mighty Fulham defence, even though they only picked up two points from two games! Bocanegra and Volz both scored against Chelsea, and they will be delighted with the point at Stamford Bridge.

Robin van Persie is a man on form at the moment as well. However, you should be wary of putting him in your team in the transfer window, as Messieur Henry is back, and that may mean less games for RvP...

One player who has quietly crept up the scoring charts in YTM is Yakubu. 'The Yak Attack' has scored a fair amount of goals and finds himself in 2nd place in the strikers rankings. At 7.5m though, he is an expensive 'gamble' for the rest of the season.

Team of the Month December 2006

Hello all and I hope you all had a great Christmas and a glorious New Year!
It was a great month for YTM points-scoring in December.

The two stand-out performances in the YTM world were Matty Taylor and Cristiano Ronaldo. Taylor hit the half-century of points, which included some superb strikes. Ronaldo however, managed the eclipse even that, with a HUGE 62 points for the month.

.
If you don't have him in your team you must be mad!
