YTM January Preview...

Thanks to the two breaks for FA Cup football in early and late January, the Premiership has a fairly light calendar during the first month of 2007. All teams play 4 times in January, so there is nothing to be gained there.

However, there are four teams that play three home games in January, and they will be the most likely to pick up the most points for YTM Managers. Here are those four teams and their fixtures:

Arsenal: Home: Charlton, Man United, and Man City. Away: Blackburn

Reading: Home: West Ham, Sheff Utd and Wigan. Away: Everton

Portsmouth: Home: Tottenham, Charlton and Middlesbrough. Away: Sheff Utd

Newcastle: Home: Man Utd, West Ham and Aston Villa. Away: Tottenham

It definately seems to be that Newcastle have the toughest bunch of fixtures out of those four. It would be difficult to not choose Pompey players with those four fixtures in January.

Managers beware!! There are four teams in the Premiership who have three away games this month, and those teams should be avoided. They are:

Tottenham
Blackburn
Charlton
and Watford

To be honest, it would be a very 'brave' (if that is the correct word!) manager who would choose any Watford or Charlton players in the near future!!

With so few games this month it should be a close one for Manager of the Month and a prize of £10,000. So there is every reason to take advantage of our half-price sale that is going on at the moment!
