Team of the Week 18

The less said about my predictions this week the better!! Three out of ten isn't good in any way, shape or form!

Moving onto the football...

Obafemi Martins is starting to look good as Newcastle are beginning to pick up points at a steady pace. I don't think that it would be a bit rash to get Martins into your YTM team during the next transfer window, which opens on the 5th January...

Another player that looks good for the second half of the season is Tom Huddlestone. Martin Jol may well see Huddlestone as the answer to Michael Carrick's departure to Man United, and in the form he is in, he is likely to get a prolongued stay in the Spurs starting eleven.

It looks like Steven Gerrard is going to start racking up the points now that he is being played in the centre of midfield by Rafa Benitez. Furthermore, the chances of all Liverpool players being good YTM buys has risen dramatically, with many of their difficult games in the past. How Benitez' boys deal with the visits of the big teams will define their season in the Premiership.

League Cup Quarter Finals this week... Hopefully there will be a few upsets, so good luck to Southend and Wycombe, against Tottenham and Charlton respectively.
I think that it could be Liverpool's League Cup this year, but to do that they will have to get by Arsenal tonight.
